Bonus Beats: Vol. 2 continues the ongoing beat-tape series, collecting more of my favorite instrumentals pulled from remixes, alternate versions, beat-battles, shelved ideas and side projects from the vault — all remixed and remastered for a cohesive listening experience.
Some of these started as remix foundations, others were sketches that took on a life of their own. Together they live in that space between B-sides and hidden gems. The title nods to the classic “bonus beats” tucked onto the flips of 12-inch hip-hop singles — the tracks producers and DJs would dig for.
