I’m excited to share my new single Keep Trying, the first glimpse of my upcoming album The Storm LP (with producer Satoru), dropping November 7th — just in time for Bandcamp Friday and my birthday weekend. This album is the darker, more reflective counterpart to The Sunshine LP — exploring the calm before, during, and after the storm.
Keep Trying is a soulful hip-hop track about perseverance, self-reflection, and staying focused through life’s challenges. Produced by Satoru, it blends smooth guitars and steady drums with introspective lyrics about pushing forward when things get tough.
“I know that life can have you feeling hopeless at times, but it’s all about perception, gotta focus your mind.”
Pre-orders for The Storm LP are live now. You can grab the vinyl or pick up one of the limited merch bundles with posters, tapes and shirts, or get the digital version, which comes with an instant download of Keep Trying.
Following the warmth of The Sunshine, Amerigo Gazaway & Satoru return with The Storm – a meditation on hardship, resilience, and perseverance. From the raw emotion of It’s Been Hard to the inner conflict of The Battle, these songs confront adversity and search for self-discovery. Dark Clouds reflects on corruption, paranoia, and the shifting state of the world, while Keep Trying carries the determination to push forward and hold on to hope. Culminating in the title track – a letter written across generations – the album embraces the storm while searching for light on the other side.
“The Sunshine LP was a gospel record – not in a religious sense, but in the sense that it’s all about praise and being grateful for life’s blessings. The Storm, on the other hand, is the blues – it’s about struggle, loss, and the lessons learned when things fall apart. Together they tell both sides of the same story.” — AG
