“Oakland-born singer Xiomara and acclaimed producer Amerigo Gazaway join forces to create the multifaceted LP Nineteen Ninety, drawing inspiration from such greats as Teddy Riley, Prince, and Aaliyah.” 

Our celebration of Black History Month continues with a preview of Xiomara and Amerigo Gazaway’s debut LP, Nineteen Ninety. They’ll deliver a modern sound with a ’90s R&B vibe and share how they mixed live and electronic elements to create the track You & Me. Then you’ll hear about their collaboration with the Omi Arts series at the Ashara Ekundayo Gallery.
