We’ve been fans of bay area artist, Xiomara, since we first got wind of her bluesy “So Fresh So Clean” Outkast cover back in 2014. With her first full-length project Seven Nineteen dropping today, we’re amped to share the Amerigo Gazaway produced “YDKJ Pt. ll”. Pieced together from a studio session with some of San Francisco’s best musicians, the producer utilized live instruments to sample and create a backdrop for Xiomara’s soulful vocals to shine.
A staple of the Bay area’s hip-hop scene, Xiomara delivers a genre defying 9 songs debut reminiscent of her influences Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, and Nina Simone among others. Stream/download YDKJ Pt. ll above and grab the full album Seven Nineteen on Bandcamp.
